Cybersecurity/SecOps Consultant
Duration:Approximately 3-4 months, starting mid-May.
Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity/SecOps Consultant to enhance our security operations and infrastructure development. The consultant will be instrumental in proactive monitoring, forensic log analysis, incident response, and managing security measures, including firewall operations and attack mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in active monitoring and forensic analysis of security logs using Splunk Cloud.
- Implement and manage incident response strategies to promptly address security breaches.
- Analyze traffic logs from AWS Firewalls to identify threat patterns and make actionable decisions to thwart attacks.
- Develop and maintain security infrastructures using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Design and deploy CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions, to streamline and secure software development and deployment processes.
- Conduct threat modelling and utilize web application testing tools to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Security Operations and DevOps, with a strong background in full-stack application development.
- Proficient in programming with Golang, JavaScript, and Python.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services and security solutions, including AWS WAFv2.
- Familiarity with advanced security tools and experience in implementing security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, PCI-DSS, and MITRE.
- Practical experience with Splunk Cloud and Observability Suite (SignalFX).
- Relevant certifications in cybersecurity and cloud services are highly regarded.
